Jan 2007 Joe Strummer left his wife a little under 1 million pounds in his will. This was in no small part due to his generosity in life to fans, friends and acquaintances. The Good The Bad And The Queen Album has official debut album released on 22 January. This is the band who have got Paul Simonon of The Clash playing again. If you buy one album this year I recommend this one, I have preordered it.

Feb 2007 5 Feb Arctic Monkeys say second album will be 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' and will have 11 new tracks. The Distillers have confirmed they've split up. The Police play Grammy Awards with original lineup and will soon be doing a world tour. Hard to believe that Greg Graffin fronts Bad Religion, the band widely known as the Non Godfathers of Punk ... That Title is Lee Brilleaux of Dr Feelgood ... The UCLA graduate decided to return to his alma mater to teach Life Science while recording the 14th album. OK ... He is the subject of some of the songs ... 17th Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day is 35 today.

Mar 2007 1st March Pulley is releasing their DVD 'The True Story of an American Punk Rock Band'. It has been announced that The Horrors will releasing their Debut Album 'Strange House' in the first week in March. Also The The Horrors play a show special show in New York. The gig, is at the legendary Bowery Ballroom, will take place on Saturday 10 March. Tickets are priced at $13. 14 March Anti-Flag Play Majestic Theatre Detroit. 15th March Legendary Southend Punk Band 'The Machines' Play Chinnery's in Southend on Sea in the UK. 17th March The Fratellis are joined onstage by Pete Townshend at South by South West in Texas. East coast rebel punk-poet Mike V is on Vans Warped Tour 2007. Slap Magazine recognized him as the longest lasting pro skaters.

Apr 2007 23 April Arctic Monkeys release album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare'. 20 April The Beat-Ups are at The Corner Bar Kalamazoo Michigan. April 24th launch of Pela debut album Anytown Graffiti. 27th April Opening Party at The Beaver at 1192 Queen St. W. at Gladstone Ave, Toronto, Canada for Don Pyle who started photography in 1976, in time for the punk scene of the Viletones, The Diodes, The Dishes, The Curse, Teenage Head, The Ugly, and touring legends Iggy Pop, Ramones, The Clash, and Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers. Pyle never previously made prints will be displayed for at The Beaver the first time. 28 April Choking Susan are at Macs bar Lansing, Michigan.

May 2007 2nd May Arctic Monkey Arctic Monkeys are into the US Top 10 for the first time with their second album, Favourite Worst Nightmare. The Pop punks from Sheffield in England have come in at number seven in the Billboard 200, after shifting 44,000 copies. At the same time they are number 1 in England. 5th May Punk Day at Railway, Ipswich in Suffolk England with Vice Squad, Vibrators and The Machines. Vice Squad are in the California in September this year. Green Day will be in the Simpsons movie amd MOJO has featured the Arctic Monkeys. Patti Smith has a new album this month.

Jun 2007 June 7th DIRK FEST tribute to "Pope of Punk" Dirk Dirksen 1937-2006 at Slim’s voted one of the best night clubs in America by Pollstar Magazine. June 8th DIRK FEST to be held at at Great American Music Hall, San Francisco's with Jello Biafra in the attendance. June 12th Green Day covers the John Lennon song, 'Working Class Hero' on tribute CD released today.

Jul 200710th July Bad Religion release New Maps Of Hell Album. Green Day play the theme for the Simpson movie.

Aug 2007 8th August The Machines play Bar Monsta London. 10th August marks the start of The Summer Sundae Weekender in the grounds of De Montfort Hall, Leicester with legendary punk poet John Cooper Clarke and Echo and the Bunnymen headlining. Siouxsie Sioux releases a digital only single this month. 11th Stranglers August play Summer Sonic Festival in Tokyo in Japan. 12th August In Montreal on the Vans Warped Tour Gallows, the much touted band from Watford, England, led by singer Frank Carter spewed his lyrics from the mosh pit; some have called Gallows the most important punk rock band out of England since the Sex Pistols, but it sounds a more American than English in style. 13th August, 19.00. 7th floor, Tower Records, Shinjuku, Tokyo. MC: Bryan Burton-Lewis. For this event, JJ is scheduled to give an in-store talk, acoustic live show and autograph session. Tickets for this show will be given to those who purchase 'Suite XVI' after 21st July. 19th August Buzzcock play Sunset Junction Street Festival Los Angeles, USA. 26th August Damned play Club Futurum in Prague Czech Republic.

Sep 2007 Talk of CBGB's being reopened as a boutique circulates in New York.

Oct 2007 24th October The Horrors from Southend in England will play their very first Mexican show at the Manifest Festival in Mexico City. Bad Religion with Gallows supporting are playing Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Columbus, Covington, Cleveland, Buffalo, Washington DC and New York City this month. Rumours were right CBGB's opens as a fashion boutique who can afford the rent.

Dec 2007 Dec 9th Tre Cool of Green Day celebrates his 35th birthday today.December 22nd The Machines play Southend to celebrate the 30 years of Punk being one of those original 1977 bands. December 23rd Pogues Play Dublin to celebrate 25 years.
