Jan 2009 This month started with the sad death of Ron Asheton who was found dead on Jan 6th, All sorts of tribute have been paid. Asheton is best known for his proto-punk guitar sound on such Stooges songs as "1969," "No Fun" and "I Wanna Be Your Dog." After Iggy and the Stooges split, he lead the groups Destroy All Monsters and then Dark Carnival. 9th January Fay Fife The Rezillos singer released a single today. Green Day will release an album this year. 25th January Eddie & Hot Rods Play Skegness, Butlins R&B Weekend. 31st January Eddie & Hot Rods play Colle di val d'Elsa, Siena, Italy at Sonar Live.
