The Distillers have confirmed they've split up. Malcolm Mclaren Sex Pistols Manager has most of his own back catalogue put out by Independent Peer Music. 6th Feb Manic Street Preachers announce early summer tour to promote new Album. 25th JJ and Baz of The Stranglers will be played the Great Ormond Street Hospital Benefit Evening at Jongleurs Comedy Club, Battersea, London Also by 25th Almost 4,500 people have signed an online petition appealing for the return of concerts to Kenwood House in London next year. This is place that Elvis Costello has played in recent years.

Mar 2007 1st March The Klaxons win Best New Band at NME Awards. Culture Clash: Dread Meets Punk Rockers, by Don Letts Published. The Horrors will releasing their Debut Album 'Strange House' in the first week in March. 11 March Andy Kershaw cites White Man in Hammersmith Palais by The Clash as one his eight favourite recordings on Desert Island Discs on Radio 4 on the BBC. 12th March Clash fan Lily Allen played live at Hammersmith Apollo,London. 15th March Legendary Southend Punk Band 'The Machines' Play Chinnery's in Southend on Sea. Burnout Dominator from EA is due for release on the 23rd March with Avril Lavigne in the lead music position. 26th March The Holloways, pop punk Dancefloor Album released. Rick Buckler and Bruce Foxton have revived the Jam name without Paul Weller. Having seen the original band they will have a hard time finding a fill in for Paul Weller; perhaps they have Steve Brookes with them now, he was in a very early version of the band. Fifty-three acts have signed up to support the campaign against the updating of the British Nuclear Weapons System including Damon Alban, Arcade Fire, Brian Eno and Kaisers Chiefs. Protest is organised by Green Peace. Month ends with Bloc Party's frontman Kele hit back at Oasis's Noel, when he said Bloc Party are "a band off University Challenge" with his thought that Oasis made stupidity hip.

April 18th 30th Anniversary of Debut Clash Album. April 19th Beginning of two day Camden Crawl with Billy Bragg, Ash, and Damned all headlining. 22nd April Johnny Marr has co-written a song for the new Crowded House Album. 23rd April Arctic Monkeys release album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' and they play Glastonbury Festival. Ian Hunter Book Diary Of A Rock and Roll Star out again. 29th April Iggy Pop will have a film about his younger self made and inspired a garden at 2007 Chelsea Flower show. The theme of the garden is Lust For Life after one of his signature songs. 30th April The Arctic Monkeys Favourite Worst Nightmare is now the best-selling album of the year so far but it is only April.

May 2007 3rd May Underground Heroes play Borderline, in London. 5th May Punk Day at Railway, Ipswich in Suffolk Starts 3pm with Vice Squad, Vibrators and The Machines. 6th Vibrators play Railway Brightlingsea, Essex. 8th May Wombats played in front of more than 10,000 Chinese punks, rockers and goths at one of Beijing's biggest rock festivals. 11th Vibrators play Pressure Point in Brighton. 12th Vibrators play Club 85 Hitchin. 13th May The Sunday Times had a free Punk CD with it. 15th May 2007 Street Dogs Play Futurum Prague Czech Republic. 17th May Gallows PlayKomedia as part of The Great Escape Festival, while on 18th May Gallows Play Zap as part of The Great Escape Festival. 18th May Film about Joe Strummer ' The Future Is Unwritten ' by Director Julian Temple released.28th May Street Dogs Play Academy London. 28th May sees the release of The News a single by Carbon Silicon. 31st Vibrators play Rio's in Leeds. Green Day will be in the Simpsons movie amd MOJO has featured the Arctic Monkeys. Patti Smith has a new album this month. 31 May Siouxsie Sioux will announce the release of a digital only single in August.

Jun 2007 3rd June The Stranglers Play Peel Bay Festival in Isle of Man.June 16th and 17th Arctic Monkeys play at Malahide Castle, Dublin. 20th June As part of Jarvis Cocker's Meltdown 2007 Jarvis is in conversation with Don Letts at 6.30pm in the Purcell Room in London. 21st June Gallows Play King's College London just before they go to the USA for a stint on The Vans Warped Tour. After a year off in 2006 the dates of the 2007 Glastonbury Festival are confirmed as 22-24th June with punk spirited artists Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys and Bjork already on the Bill. Around 2,000 performances at 25 or so venues, including music, cabaret, theatre, circus, a fantastic Kids area, poetry and green crafts all at £145.

Jul 2007 7th July Elvis Costello & Allen Toussaint Play Tower of London. The Good The Bad & The Queen will play their first summer outdoor show at the The Tower of London on Monday July 9th. A celebration of London's musical identity and history, this will be the first summer-time performance of The Good The Bad & The Queen. The album has been played live at many winter gigs around the UK and Europe but this The Tower of London show will be the first outdoor gig in London, naturally the venue is of fitting historic significance sitting alongside the River Thames. Arctic Monkeys have a single out on same day on CD, 7' & 10' vinyl formats. Now that is what I call nostalgia. 20th July The Machines and The Spurts play The Engine Room, Brighton. 28th July Four original 1977 bands The Plague, The Crabs, The Machines and The X-Rippers play 12 Bar Club, Denmark Street, London.30th July Hard-Fi end mini UK Tour in Edinburgh. Also ' Inside The Smiths ' is out on DVD now. Green Day play the theme for the Simpson movie.

Aug 2007 3rd August sees the opening of a play about the late and great DJ John Peel in Edinburgh. 8th August The Machines play Bar Monsta London. 10th August marks the start of The Summer Sundae Weekender in the grounds of De Montfort Hall, Leicester with legendary punk poet John Cooper Clarke and Echo and the Bunnymen headlining. Siouxsie Sioux releases a digital only single this month. 11th August BBC Radio 4 played 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' to mark the passing of Tony Wilson of Manchester who has died. 11th August Stranglers August play Summer Sonic Festival in Tokyo in Japan. 13th August, 19.00. 7th floor, Tower Records, Shinjuku, Tokyo. MC: Bryan Burton-Lewis. For this event, JJ is scheduled to give an in-store talk, acoustic live show and autograph session. Tickets for this show will be given to those who purchase 'Suite XVI' after 21st July. 19th August Buzzcock play Sunset Junction Street Festival Los Angeles, USA. 20th August Kaiser Chiefs release new single 'The Angry Mob'. 26th August Damned play Club Futurum in Prague Czech Republic. Alex Turner is in to the studio this month not with the Arctic Monkeys. but on a side project with The Rascals, Miles Kane. Gogol Bordello gypsy punk play five to six nights a week to promote its new album, 'Super Taranta!' . This has been number 1 in the BBC 6 music charts.

Sep 2007 3rd September Hard-Fi release album, Once Upon A Time In The West their second. 8th September Eddie and The Hot Rods play Half Moon Putney London. 22nd September Damned play Dunelm House Durham UK. 19th September Vodafone Live Awards Winner best live act were the ever wonderful Arctic Monkeys. 27th September Damned play Albert Halls Bolton UK. This month Bubblegum Slut Punk / Glam Rock 'n' Roll fanzine feature on their free CD with Lords of The New Church, Social Distortion, The MC5, Iggy Pop, The Cuddly Toys, and The Machines.

Oct 2007 5th OctoberStranglers play Capitole Gent Belgium. Monday 8th October Carbon/Silicon - the band that reunites Mick Jones and Tony James - release their debut album, The Last Post. Jones and James have been friends since 1975, immediately before forming, respectively, The Clash and Generation X. They have been writing songs together since 2002, the same year Mick was producing The Libertines' groundbreaking first album. By 2004 the Jones and James partnership had grown to become a fully-fledged band with the addition of bass and drums. The current lineup was settled in 2006 when Jones and James were also joined by Leo 'E-zee-Kill' Williams - who've played with Mick in BAD and Dreadzone on bass guitar and Dominic Greensmith (Reef) on drums. Patti Smith has announced she is returning to the UK. The dates are: London Shepherd's Bush Empire on October 20, Oxford Carling Academy, on October 22 and Cambridge Junction on October 23. Slash is backing a campaign to get the Sex Pistols with God Save the Queen to number 1 again. Punks hit China in a big way. They may even re-export back to the west. 24th Siouxsie Sioux played live at Camden’s Electric Ballroom as part of the John Peel Night tribute night to mark John's 3rd Anniversary.

Nov 2007 3rd November Eddie & The Hot Rods headlined an 8 band Punk Post Punk Alternative Festival at The Underworld, Camden Town. Other Bands were Krakatoa, Greenhaus, Rapid Fiction, The Fluids, Barrossa Centurians, East Road and Program. 4th NovemberStranglers play Roundhouse London.

Dec 2007 December 7th to 9th Portishead's All Tomorrow's Parties-hosted Nightmare Before Christmas is at Butlins Holiday Centre in Minehead. Lineup includes Julian Cope. December 22nd The Machines play Southend to celebrate the 30 years of Punk being one of those original 1977 bands. December 23rd Pogues Play Dublin to celebrate 25 years.
